Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been won on hard courts
A resurgent the Russian player claimed his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with victory over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has experienced a difficult season, winning just a single victory at the big events and suffering a meltdown at the US Open.
The player's varied form on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serving in especial - led to him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally parting ways with long-time trainer Cervara.
Currently working with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently progressed in the past month - peaking in a hard-fought competitive triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This marks the player's first championship since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hardcourt since spring of the previous year.
Success also means the Russian has secured 21 championships at 21 distinct events.
"It's the first time I have attended a competition with my children together, so to secure a trophy is especially meaningful," stated ranked player Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my second daughter my daughter, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had failed in his previous six championship matches, including in Halle previously this season.
The player's counter-punching play style and regular outbursts on court had led observers to question if his capacity to play at the top level was concluded.
However the athlete has altered his approach in recent weeks, striving to approach the net and perform positively, reinforced by an enhanced service.
The champion came back from a deficit in the initial set against the difficult Frenchman, securing four of the final five points to take the lead.
Both players swapped break points in the following set before Moutet, attempting for his first professional championship, gained dominance to create a decider.
Moutet rescued four early-game chances in a competitive deciding set before the Russian secured a break to 15 to close out the victory.
Fittingly, he secured the title with a shot at the net, with Moutet failing to handle a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
